There's the Talacauvery, the birth place of the lifeline of the south-the Cauvery.Just 89kms from Madikeri is Bhagamandala,the shrine of Bhagandeshwara where the Cauvery merges with the Cauvery merges with the rivers Kannike and Sujyothi to form the Triveni Sangama. About eight kilometres from this temple is the picturesque Brahmagiri range of hills which is the birth place of the Cauvery.
